Latest List of Public Holidays in 2081 B.S. - Published By Ministry of Home Affairs - वि.सं. २०८१ को सार्वजनिक बिदाहरुको सूची

The government has released the details of public holidays for the coming year 2081 B.S. The Ministry of Home Affairs has published the dates of various public holidays, festive holidays and various days after the publication of the details of the holidays to be given in the Nepal Gazette from Baishakh 1, 2081 to end of Chaitra month.

Among the public holidays to be given throughout the country in the coming year 2081, New Year on 1st Baisakh, Ram Navami on 5th Baisakh, World Labor Day on 19th Baisakh, Buddha Purnima on 10th Jestha have been announced as public holidays. Republic Day holiday has been given on 15th Jestha.

Rakshabandhan on Bhadra 3rd and Shri Krishna Janmashtami on Bhadra 10th are also given holidays. Constitution Day on Asoj 3rd, Ghatasthapana on Asoj 17th, five days of Dashain holiday from Asoj 24th to 28th have been given.

In the month of Kartik, from 15th to 19th, there is a five-day holiday for Tihar and 22nd is also a holiday for Chhath Parva. A holiday has been given on the occasion of Udhauli festival, Yomari Punhi on 30th of Mansir. Tamu Lhosar on 15th Poush and Prithvi Jayanti on 27th Poush are public holidays.

On the occasion of Maghi festival, the holiday will be on Magh 1st and on the occasion of Sonam Lhosar on Magh 17th. Holidays are also given on 7th Falgun for Democracy Day, 14th Falgun for Mahashivratri, 16th Falgun for Sherpa's Gyalpo Lhosar, and 24th Falgun for International Women's Day.

It is mentioned in the gazette that Eid (Eid-ul-Fitr) and Bakr-Eid (Id-ul-Ujah) are public holidays for Muslims. Similarly, on Phagupurnima, a holiday has been given in 56 Himalayan and hilly districts on 29th of Falgun and in Terai districts on 1st of Chaitra.
